Enrolment Proccess
1. Apply to be added to the Waiting List
If Northwest Montessori Preschool is the right fit for your family, we welcome you to submit an application to be added to the Waitlist. We encourage you to apply as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Applications may be lodged from the birth of a child . Children must turn 3 years of age by 30th April in the commencement year.
You will need the following to complete the application online;
- Read the policy documents under Terms & Conditions.
- Complete the online ‘Waiting List Registration’ form.
- Pay a non refundable Registration Fee.
As soon as we receive your completed application we’ll review it, and get back to you with a confirmation of receipt or call to clarify any questions we have.
Please Note: the Waiting List Registration is a pre-requisite for admission, however it does not guarantee a place.
2. Attend a Tour
We will arrange an in-person tour one term in advance of your eligible start date. This will give you an opportunity to meet the Directress & have an in-depth explanation of each of the curriculum areas, as well as discuss your child's needs & overall goals for attending Montessori.
3. Wait for an offer to be made
Placement offers are sent out in Term 3 for the following year’s intake.
Applicants who are successful will be notified in writing of a confirmed place. Sometimes circumstances change and families don’t accept the offer, the place is made available to the next eligible person on the waitlist. Second-round offers will be made 3 weeks after first-round offers. Third-round offers will be made 3 weeks after second-round offers.
4. Accept Offer
A bond of $1500 must be paid on acceptance of the enrolment by cheque or direct transfer to hold the place for the following year. This deposit will be returned to the family once the child has completed the two/three year program.
An enrolment pack and other relevant information will be provided after the place is accepted and the bond has been paid.
5. Orientation
Some children adjust very quickly to their new routine & others take a little longer. The Directress will come up with an orientation plan that best suits your child.
