Materials
- Chalk (outdoors) or painter’s tape (indoors)
Steps
- Draw or make solid circles about two inches apart in a straight line.
- Explain to your child that the circles are for hopping. “Try not to touch the space outside of the circle!”
- Show your child how to hop from circle to circle.
- Invite your child to try hopping for themselves. They might want to draw more circles themselves.
Variation
- Children may jump, step, or walk backward.
- For older children, make circles further apart or form the circles in a zigzag.
